General Questions:

  • Tuesday-Friday, 11-7PM. Weekends, 10-6PM. 220 West 27th St. in the Remington neighborhood of Baltimore (north side of the city).

  • You can regularly find free street parking in the vicinity.

    We can validate up to 2 hours parking at the Remington Row Parking Garage across the street, entrance off of 27th St. (ask us in the shop for a validated parking slip). You can also find free parking just past R.House in the “police lot” - here’s the address.

  • Yes! We have a ramp at the back entrance to the shop. Walk past the main entrance along Cresmont Ave. You will see our back steps and garden next to the ramp.

  • Yes! In front of the shop on 27th street there’s a green bike rack that you can lock your bike to.

  • We do! We deliver to addresses up to 30 miles away from our retail location. Order minimum of $50, $10-20 fee depending on distance. Deliveries are typically made on Fridays but we can often accommodate other days of the week (excluding weekends).

  • Yes! Definitely. We just ask you to empty it of any existing soil / dead plant material. We can also toss any matter into our compost bin :)

  • Yes! Our potting station is available for use during retail hours, with the exception of days/times when we are using the station for in-store workshops. Feel free to give us a call to confirm availability if you like!

  • We discourage you bringing your own plants in unannounced! We try to reduce the risk of pests spreading to our plants in the shop as much as possible. We offer in-shop plant consultations as a private $25 appointment- more info available here! You can either fill out the form on our website to send us a scheduling request, or feel free to call us and we can schedule you.

  • We will be offering plant rentals sometime in early 2024. Stay tuned!

Inventory Questions:

  • Mostly houseplants! We carry a wide variety of indoor tropical and desert plant, plant care supplies (like fertilizer, pest treatments, moss poles, spray bottles, stakes, globes, etc), planters, body care, botanical designs, botanical goods and kits, etc.

  • Our plant catalog has a list of plants that we regularly stock in the shop. If you see something you’re looking for, we can order it in for you! We will notify you when it has arrived, and can hold it for 7 days. If you end up not interested anymore, we’ll just put the plant(s) out for sale.

  • We do not stock any plants that require us to import them - we only work with accredited, licensed growers in the USA. We do often get in “rare” plants in the sense that they are lesser cultivated, but occasionally available to us from time to time. We do not specialize in rare plants, generally, but will often have harder to find species on our shelves.

  • We do not stock outdoor annuals, perennials or native plants. We often partner with Herring Run Nursery to provide occasional native plant pop-ups at the shop (usually in the spring through fall).

  • Not currently, other than some Plantflix herb seeds! We often have local farms popping up throughout the spring and summer to sell herbs and outdoor plants.

  • We currently stock Plantflix seeds and grow kits, including:

    • Herbs

    • Tropical Plant Seed Packs

    • Grow a Coffee Plant Seed Kit

    • Grow Catnip Seed Kit

    • Grow an Urban Jungle Houseplant Kit

  • Terra cotta (made in the USA), Kanso Designs, Bergs Pottery, Wally planters, teak vanda boxes, terra cotta orchid/epiphyte pots, and locally made ceramics.

  • Amazing! We would love to see your work and discuss how it all works. Check out this informational page on our website and email us some examples of your work!

  • We usually have a box of free plastic nursery pots outside the shop, ranging from 2” diameter up to 10” (occasionally there will be 12”, 14” but most often we have 2-6” sizes available).

  • Yes! We only carry natural, non-synthetic fertilizer brands. Currently in stock:

  • We only stock non-synthetic, safe pesticides and fungicides. Currently in stock:

  • We do! We have a build-your-own bouquet bar with fresh flower stems sourced 100% locally. We also have pre-bundled bouquets for $35 available in-shop and on our online store. Our flowers are sourced from Butterbee Farm, Hillen Homestead, and Juniper Farm.

  • Generally yes, though currently we are out of stock and looking for a new supplier.

  • We do! We regularly have a variety of botanical goods that make perfect gifts, like tea towels, notebooks, lotions, soaps, mugs, teas, candles, etc.

  • Our online store is currently under construction, check back! We do not ship live plants but we can ship non-perishable goods.

  • We do not carry any hooks, chain, etc. Any of our botanical designs that are intended to be hung or mounted will come with wire on the back for hanging. Try Falkenhan’s Hardware in Hampden or Waverly Ace Hardware!

Questions about our Botanical Designs:

  • We make a wide variety of living designs including:

    • Potted plants (various types and sizes, tropical and desert)

    • Kokedamas (Japanese planting method, translates to “moss ball”)

    • Mounted plants (using either cork or wooden slabs sourced from Camp Small, fallen trees in Baltimore)

      • We mount mostly vining tropicals / epiphytes / air plants!

    • Terrariums (tropical, moss, desert)

    • Dried floral bouquets

    • Pressed flower cards

    • Framed pressed floral arrangements

  • Yes! You can review all options and submit an inquiry through our website. We love making custom designs for our customers.

  • Yes! You are welcome to bring it in and we can plant it during regular retail hours, or we can coordinate via email if you’re looking for a specific plant or a certain size.

  • 100% Since terrariums take longer to create, just email us with a photo of the vessel, any thoughts about how you’d like it to look, and when you’d like to drop it off. We will complete your design within 7 days.

  • Yes! Feel free to drop it off anytime during retail hours and we will remake it for you within 7 days. When you’re in shop we can discuss replacement plant options (or you can leave it up to us, whatever works!).

Questions about Shop Policies:

  • We have a 3 day return on live plants in their nursery pots*, and a 30 day return on non-perishable goods.

    Any botanical designs or potted plants cannot be returned.

    *If your plant is demonstrating root rot without having watered it since it’s left the store, we can discuss a return for store credit! Please send us photos as soon as you notice any issues, to hello@plantcare.com

  • Customers who have not special ordered a plant (requesting a hold on a plant currently for sale) may have that plant held for them for 24 hours.

    If you special order a plant, you have 7 days to pay/pickup!

  • We discourage customers from bringing plants into the shop, especially if it might have a pest issue. If you’re looking for a repot, we offer this by private appointment. Click here to read more / send us an inquiry!

Questions about Plant Care and Plant Care Services:

  • Yes! The easiest way to get our help is to send us a photograph to plantcare@bwillow.com or you can DM us on Instagram. Please send us info on what your care routine has looked like, and include not only up close photos of the plants you are concerned about, but photos of the entire plant as well.

  • We could start with a $15 virtual consultation for 15 minutes. If we need more time we can elongate that to 30 minutes or more. If you’d like us to come to you, we can also do that! Here is a link with more info and to request an appointment.

Questions About Becoming a Shop Vendor:

  • In general, we look for goods made mainly from plants, for use with plants, or botanical in theme. We always keep an eye out for local ceramics and planters, plant stands, botanical home goods, macrame, herbal remedies/tinctures, and body care (all natural, no synthetic ingredients or artificial fragrances).

  • Please send an email to hello@bwillow.com with your website, information about your products (including ingredients if topical/edible), photos, wholesale pricing, and where you currently have your goods in stock. If it seems like a good fit for the shop we will schedule a time for you to bring by some examples of your work.

  • We are not currently looking for artwork (unless printed as a card), teas, planters without drainage holes, jewelry

Questions about Commercial or Residential Plant Care Services

Questions about Special Orders or Bulk Orders

  • We would love to help you! We are able to get plants in each week. Ideally we’d have at least 2 week’s notice to ensure enough time to place your order with our supplier. Please email us at emma@bwillow.com for any bulk order requests! View our catalog for options, we can provide pricing upon receiving your inquiry!

  • We have a variety of plants available to us each week. Depending on the type of plant you’re looking for, we’d likely be able to order it in within the next week or so. If it’s a species that’s lesser cultivated and harder to find, it might take us more time. Feel free to look over our catalog of plants that are regularly available to us. If you don’t see the variety you are looking for, still reach out - we might be able to order it!
